Sisters of Notre Dame
proclaim God's goodness and provident care. As disciples of Jesus, we:
• create community for mission
• nurture faith through education
• stand in solidarity with those in need
We are consecrated women religious, striving to serve our world in the spirit of Jesus. We respond to God’s call as members of an international congregation, serving the Church on every major continent in 16 countries!
Living in the footsteps of our foundress, Sister Maria Aloysia Wolbring, we strive for excellence in all forms of Christian education with special focus on those who are poor and marginalized. We meet the intellectual and spiritual needs of children and adults at all age levels in many parishes and in health care and social service agencies in 10 different states, Guatemala and in Papua New Guinea.
Our sisters share with others what is deepest within our being: our experience of God’s goodness and provident care—the charism of the Sisters of Notre Dame.
Toledo Province sisters range in age from 30 years old to 101 years old, living the vows of chastity, poverty and obedience, allowing us to live our mission wholeheartedly. Our lives are enriched by daily prayer and community life providing the context in which we hear and respond to the needs of our time.
We embrace the past, present and future, confident in God’s provident care and eager to share His goodness with all those in need.
We invite you to further explore our site and come to know who we are as Sisters of Notre Dame!
