“When Simon Peter arrived after him, he went into the tomb and saw the burial cloths there, and the cloth that had covered his head, not with the burial cloths but rolled up in a separate place.”
At a banquet in Jesus’ time if the napkin was folded neatly after a meal, that was a sign that the host would be back.
The folded cloth here in the tomb must have made Peter and John all the more curious. Jesus would be back?
In times of trouble, allow the hope of Jesus’ return to replace your sense of emptiness or confusion.
Heritage word—“It is through our God-experience that we are converted to see this new vision.”
