What is Vocation?
Everyone has a vocation. A vocation is an invitation from God to a lifestyle that allows you to best share the gifts of mind and heart you have received. Some of us are called to marriage. For others, it is the single life. And some are called to the ordained or religious life. Responding to this invitation brings you to the lifestyle that best fits who God knows you to be.
Some signs to look for when considering a
vocation to religious life:
Openness: Am I willing to respond to whatever God asks of me?
Desire: Do I feel a sense of peace and joy when considering religious life?
Proper Motivation: What do I really expect and hope for in considering religious life?
Disposition: Do I have reasonably good health, social ease, emotional stability and spiritual centeredness?
Do you recognize some of these signs? Now What?
