“Whose sins you forgive
are forgiven them and
whose sins you retain
are retained.”

Aren’t you amazed at how Jesus passed on his authority to those ordinary flawed men
whom he befriended and called to follow him closely?

We pray “forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.”
In the context of this Pentecost account,
how comfortable/uncomfortable are you with that prayer?

Walk today as a forgiven one loved by God.

Heritage word—“God who continually makes all things new
is surely now as always bringing something new to birth.”

(Sister Mary Kristin, 10th Superior General of the Sisters of Notre Dame)
