“Jesus said to them, ‘Amen, amen, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you do not have life within you.’”
Reflect on what keeps you alive physically—fish, vegetables, chicken, water, fruits, cows, pigs, grain, air, etc.
Now imagine the hunger of a starving person as she/he sees food being thrown away.
To what degree are you ever starving for the Word of God to feed you spiritually?
Heritage word—“Those who share in common food, lovingly and generously prepared, in some way prolong the mystery of Eucharist, of agape.”
