“The Spirit drove Jesus out into the desert, and he remained in the desert for forty days, tempted by Satan. He was among wild beasts, and the angels ministered to him.”
Notice that you and Jesus are not alone in the desert any longer.
Angels need not have wings, yet they can be God’s messengers, i.e. just the person you need at a specific time.
Be aware today of “angels” who may be a support to you on your Lenten journey and how God may have you be an “angel” for someone else.
Heritage word—“If we look back over the many good things the dear God has done for us, if we reflect on the many evils from which he has preserved us, then surely we have reason to thank the dear God most heartily.”
